Caviar & Bananas & Donny Deutsch & The Apprentice

Saturday night, at Caviar & Bananas, my out-of-town guests and I were seated at the table next to a large party. The first person one of my friends noticed was advertising-mogul, Donny Deutsch. After he explained to the rest of the party who Donny Deutsch was and why it was remotely significant, one of the other guests looks over and says, "Hey, isn't he sitting next to Bill Rancic, last season's Apprentice?"

Yep. There they were, at a table with a couple other men, and several blondes, one of whom bore a tremendous resemblance to a younger version of Carolyn, The Donald's right-hand gal on the show. (It could have been Carolyn about 15 years ago, or her daughter.)

So in the space where one reality television program lived and died (Rocco DiSpirito's, The Restaurant), we were entertained throughout our meal by watching "stars" of another reality program.

Google Acquires Dodgeball.com

One of my favorite websites - Dodgeball.com - has been acquired by Google!

Read all about it.

What does this mean to us?

1. More innovative ideas and technology will eventually be available on Dodgeball.com. (Now if only I could get my friends to sign up...)

2. Dodgeball's founders have hit the big-time. (Congratulations, guys!)

This is a True Shame

Things like this make me wish this country were ruled by a completely different government - one where the justice system would never authorize a corporation to shirk its responsibility to loyal employees.

Where is the accountability?

* The Hiatus is Back Off Again

Remember me?

The girl who started this crazy thing and has recently left it in a state of neglect.

Yes, I've been a little M.I.A. lately.

So how have I spent my time if I haven't been blogging, entertaining the public masses via the Internet...

1. The standard excuse: Work has been crazy.

2. I was away in Pittsburgh. (Annual Girls trip to the 'Burgh.)

3. Planning a surprise party for my parents has taken up a HUGE amount of time.

There are more excuses, er, reasons for my absence, but I'll go into them at a later date.

So with that brief list, I'm back.
